RotorLease appoints Raymond Lubrano as its new MD

RotorLease – the leasing and asset management platform of helicopter services firm Rotortrade – has appointed Raymond Lubrano to the role of MD.
The appointment marks the expansion of RotorLease across international markets, according to the company. The leasing business – launched at helicopter event Verticon in March 2025 – is intended to be an integral part of Rotortrade’s three-pillar business model encompassing helicopter sales, maintenance and finance.
The leasing platform originates, structures, finances and manages helicopter leasing transactions internationally, working in coordination with Rotortrade’s global commercial and technical network. The new MD will oversee the development and management of RotorLease, including capital deployment, aircraft investment, debt financing, transaction structuring, credit and counterparty assessment, asset and portfolio management. Lubrano will also develop relationships with operators, lenders and financial partners.
Philippe Lubrano, founder and CEO of Rotortrade said: “RotorLease is an important part of the Finance pillar we have been building within Rotortrade. With the platform now operational, Raymond’s appointment provides dedicated leadership for its next phase of development.” He added that the new MD will ensure the firm’s leasing activities remain closely connected to Rotortrade’s broader commercial and technical capabilities.
Raymond Lubrano said: “Our ambition is to build RotorLease into a disciplined and scalable global helicopter leasing and asset finance platform, combining deep asset expertise with a rigorous approach to investment, credit and financing.” The business will focus on high-quality, liquid helicopter platforms, prudent capital structures and strong operator relationships, with particular attention to long-term asset value and portfolio resilience, he said.
Before his appointment Lubrano served as Rotortrade executive vice president, head of Region LATAM, based in Mexico. There led Rotortrade’s commercial development and regional expansion across Latin America. He oversaw the sale and delivery of the first Airbus H160 in Argentina and the Southern Cone to Helipatagonia in April 2026. Raymond and Philippe Lubrano are brothers.
Meanwhile, speaking at the launch of RotorLease in March 2025, Philippe Lubrano said: “We have seen a big demand for helicopter leasing over the past five to six years,” He added: “People have been begging us [to launch this service].”
