Blueberry Aviation appoints Sofiane Cherchali as vice-president Contracts
Helicopter and commercial aircraft trading company Blueberry Aviation has appointed Sofiane Cherchali as vice-president Contracts. Cherchali will support all Blueberry’s global operations and transactions, helping to help drive business efficiency.
Working alongside Philippa Cottle, head of Legal, Cherchali will focus on group corporate and governance matters. Based in Blueberry Aviation’s Monaco office, he begins his new role today.
A qualified solicitor in England and Wales and a qualified lawyer in France and Spain, Cherchali began his career in aircraft finance at UK law firm Stephenson Harwood’s Paris office. He then moved to the Paris head offices of French financial institutions Proparco and Bpifrance. He also worked for TSE, the French solar energy developer and producer, specialising in finance and corporate law.
Francois Gautier, CEO, Blueberry Aviation said: “His [Cherchali’s] international background and expertise in Aviation finance will doubtless make an important contribution to Blueberry Aviation’s business. is expertise will be a critical tool that we will bring to our customers to structure transactions for both commercial aircraft and helicopters activities.”
Cherchali said: “I am very grateful for the opportunity to work closely with Francois and his commercial teams at this critical milestone for the company.”
Meanwhile, earlier this year Helicopter Investor spoke to Gautier about the company’s 20 years in business and his plans for the future.
