AerCap signs 21 helicopter lease agreements in Q2 2024
Aviation leasing specialist AerCap has revealed it signed 21 helicopter lease agreements in the second quarter (Q2) of 2024. The owner of Milestone Aviation agreed a total of 162 lease agreements including, in addition to the helicopters, six widebody aircraft, 88 narrowbody aircraft and 47 engines.
AerCap completed purchases of two helicopters. Total purchases numbered 47 purchases for 25 aircraft and 20 engines. (Fixed wing purchases included: two Airbus A220 Family aircraft, 15 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, three Airbus A330neos, two Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, one Boeing 787-9 and two Embraer E195-E2s for AerCap’s owned aircraft portfolio).
During the quarter AerCap concluded 37 sale transactions for 29 aircraft including one helicopter. Also included were seven engines – including two engines from AerCap’s owned engine portfolio and five engines from AerCap’s managed engine portfolio.
Signed financing transactions totalled about $3.6bn.
AerCap repurchased about 3.9m shares at an average price of $88.66 per share, for a total of approximately $345m. The company paid a first quarterly cash dividend on ordinary shares of $0.25 per share.
Meanwhile, AerCap acquired GECAS in 2021 and as part of the transaction, Milestone Aviation became an AerCap company.
Last month, Milestone has signed purchase assignment and leaseback agreements with NHV for four Airbus H175s and an AW169 helicopter.
