Airbus Helicopters delivers first H175 to Guangzhou, China
Airbus Helicopters has delivered the first H175 super-medium aircraft to the aviation force of the Guangzhou Public Security Bureau (GZP) in southern China. The helicopter will be tasked with public service missions and support emergency management.
The new aircraft joins GZP’s fleet, which includes two H145 helicopters that were delivered in 2016 and 2019 respectively. Both aircraft have logged a total of 3,200 flight hours.
The H175 has outstanding performance and will provide “an essential tool to fulfill our diverse mission portfolio,” said Zhang Rui, vice mayor of Guangzhou and secretary of the Party Committee of Guangzhou Public Security Bureau. “We look forward to continuing to work together with Airbus to jointly promote the development of the aviation industry in Guangzhou,” he said.
Colin James, MD, Airbus Helicopters in China said the manufacturer was proud of its long co-operation with GZP. “We are pleased to equip the GZP with our H175 helicopter, which is an ideal he platform for these critical public service missions, supporting them in keeping our communities safe,” added.
So far, 65 H175s have been delivered worldwide and have logged more than 240,000 flight hours. There are about 80 Airbus helicopters used for public services in China.
Meanwhile, in July 2023, Airbus Helicopters received certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for the H175, ahead of the planned delivery of four aircraft to clients in the country later in the year.
