Copenhagen Helicopter agrees advanced air mobility deal in Denmark

Copenhagen Helicopter has partnered with Crisalion Mobility.
Danish firm Copenhagen Helicopter has agreed a deal with Crisalion Mobility to promote advanced air mobility in Denmark.
The two companies will explore the feasibility of eVTOL operations between the Danish island of Funen and the south-eastern islands of the region, improving connectivity for local communities.
Under investigation will be plans to develop passenger and cargo transport in the area. A key focus will be the management of infrastructure to facilitate the upcoming advanced air mobility (AAM) services in the air and on the ground. “This initiative aims to provide residents of the area with a sustainable, fast and efficient transport alternative, improving their access to essential services and promoting economic development in these areas,” according to the companies.
Copenhagen Helicopter has been monitoring AAM projects and gathering knowledge about how best to provide people with a seamless journey between their departure and destination, said Martin W Andersen, the operator’s CEO.
Andersen went on to praise the choice of technologies Crisalion is working with both in the air and on the ground. “We have confidence in Crisalion’s business model and approach,” he said. “We believe Crisalion’s holistic approach to combine land- and air transportation together can contribute to an efficient AAM in Denmark, where increasing population growth also brings more congestion on the roads.”
Madrid-based Crisalion specialises in developing sustainable advanced electric mobility solutions. Manuel Heredia, CEO, Crisalion Mobility said: “This agreement allows us to explore different scenarios on which to improve our operations and anticipate future demands related to the way people move between local communities.”
Copenhagen Helicopter operates In partnership with operator Copenhagen AirTaxi, which is backed by more than 50 years of aviation experience.
