Rotary and fixed-wing business aviation company Jet Aviation has redelivered two Bell 429 helicopters to an unnamed customer in the Middle East.

The latest deliveries, in March this year, were the final two in a fleet of six modified Bell 429s delivered to the client. The first two aircraft were redelivered in 2020, followed by two more last year.

As a Bell independent representative, Jet Aviation worked closely with the customer to understand their specific mission needs and propose both the most suitable aircraft and a series of customised modifications to meet these requirements.

The helicopters feature a package of capabilities including: electro-optical/infrared) systems, mission mapping, video downlink, searchlight, and mission communications.

Jet Aviation also supported with the purchase of equipment and accompanied the customer to the factory acceptance at the Bell facility, providing inspection of the aircraft and documentation.

Backed by more than 50 years’ experience of representing Bell in the Middle East, the company has developed wide knowledge of customer requirements of our customers in the region and use this to support them in making the best choices for their mission, said Ian D’Arcy, vice president rotary and aircraft sales.

“We were incredibly proud to see these final two aircraft in the fleet successfully redelivered,” added D’Arcy. “We have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with this customer, spanning decades, and we look forward to continuing to support them with their ongoing rotary requirements.”

Jet Aviation offers four rotary customisation and maintenance facilities in Australia and the Middle East, including two Rotorcraft Blade Inspection and Repair Hub (RBIH) facilities in partnership with Bell. The company, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, also offers helicopter sales in both geographies.

Meanwhile, Bell Textron Canada has finished building its 6,000th commercial aircraft at the firm’s Commercial Delivery and Assembly Centre in Mirabel, Quebec. The company hit the mark with two Subaru Bell 412EPXs set to be operated by the provincial Canadian police force Sûreté du Québec.
