Airbus Helicopters’ Q2 revenue jumps 21% YoY

Aerospace giant Airbus announced financial results for the second quarter of 2025 wherein it reported 21% year-over-year growth from its helicopter segment, which clocked in at $2.4bn (€2.1bn) on both higher deliveries and growth in services.
This translated into adjusted earnings before interest and taxes of $198m compared with $184.2m in the same period last year.
The second-quarter revenue growth bolstered the full year first half of 2025 tally by 16% YoY to $4.3bn compared with $3.7bn in the same period of last year. The growth was supported by overall deliveries of helicopters during the first half.
“Looking at helicopters. In H1 [the first half], we delivered 138. It’s 14 more than in the first half of 2024. Revenues increased around 16% to €3.7m [$4.3m], reflecting a solid performance from both programmes and services,” Guillaume MJD Faury, CEO of Airbus said in the earnings call.
While deliveries were robust during the first half of 2025, the company’s order intake declined by 27% year-over year to 171 units from 233 in the same period of last year.
Faury said that “th[ese orders] 171 are well spread across the portfolio. We’ve recently announced an order from Greece for eight firefighting H215s. And we also signed a contract with Norwegian Air Ambulance for up to eight H145s.”
Airbus announced the Norwegian order on June 18th. The deal includes eight H145 helicopters, including the firm acquisition of two units. The non-profit charity organisation operates all helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) bases in the country. It’s fleet includes 20 Airbus H135s and H145s.
In addition, the company also announced contract with Chinese aircraft lessor SKYCO International Financial Leasing Co which has agreed to purchase six Airbus Helicopters H175s to be deployed on offshore transport missions. The latest contract follows an initial order for six H175s made last year for Guangdong Emergency Management and Public Service missions.
Overall, Airbus Helicopters’ EBIT adjusted increased to $288.4m versus $266.4m in the first half of 2024, which the company attributed to “growth in services and higher deliveries but with a less favourable mix”.
