Heli hires: NHV makes two senior appointments
NHV has appointed Gitte Eriksen to the role of MD, NHV A/S.
Helicopter services company NHV Group has made two senior appointments – promoting Mike Gislam to the role of operations director and Gitte Eriksen to the job of MD, NHV A/S.
Gislam joined the company in 2012 as base manager in Norwich and later became MD UK and accountable manager of NHV UK. He will continue to hold these responsibilities ina addition to his new role of operations director.
“His pragmatic leadership, commitment, professionalism, ability to get things done and deep operational understanding have been a great asset to NHV,” said the company.
Eriksen joined NHV Group in 2014 after the business acquired Dancopter through the larger Blueway Group merger. Following the acquisition, Eriksen was promoted to new leadership roles including first as ground operations manager and later as base manager at NHV’s Esbjerg location in Denmark. The base plays a key role in transporting offshore personnel to drilling platforms and managing crew changes for wind turbine operations across the Danish and Polish sectors, as well as supporting hoist operations in Germany, according to the operator.
“With more than 13 years at the company and over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, Gitte has consistently demonstrated strong leadership and dedication,” said the company. “As the primary contact for our customers in Denmark and the person responsible for our base operations, her promotion is a natural and well-deserved progression.”
Meanwhile, it is a source of satisfaction that many senior managers began their careers at NHV, Lars-Henrik Thorngreen, the company’s CEO told our Helicopter Investor London 2025 conference in June. Some have worked for the company for more than 20 years giving the company a family feeling, he said.
“We like to welcome eager young hungry people into our community because they push the rest of us towards being as close to the customer as possible and make us a bit risk willing with regards to where we go in the market,” said Thorngreen. “We have focused on being close to the customer since day one.”
Mike Gislam has been promoted to the role of operations director.
