AerCap, the parent company of Milestone, reported record net profit of $3.8bn for 2025.

“We are pleased to announce another strong quarter for AerCap, completing a year of record net income and earnings per share. These results reflect a robust performance across all our business lines,” said Aengus Kelly, chief executive, AerCap.

“During the year we sold $3.9 billion of assets for record gains on sale of $819 million. We reinvested in our core business by purchasing $5.4 billion of assets and added 103 aircraft firm orders and options to our order book, while returning $2.6 billion of capital to our shareholders,” added Kelly.

The company saw strong demand for helicopter leasing, reported Kelly. “2025 was equally momentous for Milestone, our helicopter business, as it celebrated 15 years in operation,” he said. “Demand across multiple segments remained strong, reflected in the full year utilisation rate reaching 99%.”

Kelly said Milestone does not have a single Sikorsky S-92 helicopter available for lease. In 2020 it had 18 S-92 helicopters on the ground.

Milestone signed 71 lease agreements with 23 customers in 2025. This included an agreement with Bristow Group for five Airbus H160s at the end of the year. Milestone is now the first lessor with H160s.

Meanwhile , in January Milestone sold a four-helicopter portfolio to  RIVE Private Investment. The deal included three Leonardo AW139s and one Leonardo AW169.
