The new owner of Centaurium Aviation MRO is the company’s CEO Lukas Nyffenegger.

Switzerland-based rotary maintenance, repair and overhaul organisation Centaurium Aviation MRO is undergoing a management buyout in what the company describes as “part of a planned succession arrangement”. The new owner, Lukas Nyffenegger, will  continue as CEO of the business, as the previous owner Daniel Borer steps back from operational and strategic management.

The transfer of responsibilities will take place gradually over the coming months, according to the company. The company shares have been transferred to Nyffenegger as part of a management buyout.

“With this succession solution, we are ensuring that the company is well positioned and can continue on its successful path,” said Borer. “I am confident that the new owner, with his expertise and commitment, will continue to develop Centaurium Aviation MRO Ltd in a sustainable way.”

Nyffenegger’s acquisition of the MRO is said to ensure continuity within the business. The new owner has wide industry knowledge as well as many years of experience in the aviation sector and brings excellent qualifications to continue the company’s successful development, said the company.

During the handover, the points of contact for customers, partners and employees and the full range of existing services will remain unchanged. Borer is stepping back to focus on new private projects.

In other roles, Nyffenegger is a board member with the Swiss Aircraft Maintenance Association. He has also worked previously with Skyport and Swiss Helicopter Maintenance.

In a brief statement on the company’s website, Nyffenegger said: “We make sure that you concentrate on flying. We take care of the rest.”

Established in 2022, Centaurium Aviation MRO is based near the country’s capital Bern.
