Multiflight hands over air ambulance
Company hands over helicopter to Great North Air Ambulance Service at Helitech
Multiflight managing director Steve Borrowdale (right) handed the helicopter over to GNAAS chief executive Graham Pickering (left) at Helitech 2011.
This is the third Eurocopter AS365 N2
helicopter that Multiflight has supplied to the GNAAS charity. The helicopter
was sourced by Multiflight and refitted with Multiflight’s medical interior.
Earlier this year Multiflight was awarded a
five-year contract to manage, crew and maintain the helicopters for the
charity. Multiflight has managed, crewed and maintained the GNAAS helicopters
since early 2010 and has already supplied the charity with two AS365 N2s.
Steve Borrowdale said “Multiflight is delighted
to be working in partnership with GNAAS: to have been awarded the new five-year
contract and also to be the company chosen to continue managing, crewing and
maintaining the aircraft that the charity has purchased through us. It’s a
partnership that highlights the complete turnkey air ambulance solution that
Multiflight provides. GNAAS provides a very valuable service and Multiflight is
pleased to be able to help and support the charity and the public it serves.”
Graham Pickering said: “The GNAAS is very
pleased to take ownership of this third Dauphin helicopter from Multiflight.
The charity has been very impressed with Multiflight’s management, maintenance
and team of helicopter pilots during the time we have been working with the
company. We are looking forward to the next five years working with
Multiflight.”
Multiflight had a stand in the exhibition
hall and displayed two helicopters in the static display.
