New contract for Bond Offshore Helicopters
Bond Offshore Helicopters has signed a new contract with EnQuest PLC.
The contract is for up to ten years and will provide crew change flights for EnQuest out of Aberdeen Airport. Services are due to begin in May 2013 using a Sikorsky S-92 aircraft.
The aircraft is the second of 16 ordered by Bond’s parent company Avincis Group in 2011 and will initially operate under an arrangement with Bond’s sister company Norsk Helikopterservice (NHS).
Luke Farajallah, managing director, Bond Offshore Helicopters, said: “We are delighted to announce our first contract with EnQuest. This is a significant new relationship for Bond and demonstrates the importance of our strategy of operating a diverse fleet in the North Sea. We are looking forward to demonstrating to our new partner that they have made the right choice in nominating Bond Offshore Helicopters for this long term commitment. We are confident the offshore workforce will appreciate our passion for safe, customer focused operations.”
Richard Mintern, chief executive officer, Northern Europe and Asia Pacific, Avincis Group said: “This win is the latest in a successful run for Bond following a number of new contracts recently awarded this year. Once again, Bond has been able to draw on the central resources of both the Avincis Group, as well as its Norwegian sister company NHS, in order to provide the best service for EnQuest once the service commences in May”.
