Bell Helicopter continues to grow in China after a successful ABACE 2015 in Shanghai.
Chris Jaran, vice president of Commercial Sales and Marketing for Bell Helicopter in China said: “We were proud to be a major rotorcraft attraction at ABACE. While at the show, we met with many current and potential customers and provided updates on the capabilities our helicopters can deliver as China’s air space restrictions continue to relax.”
The company held signings for five new helicopters from customers based in China.
The Guangxi Zhanzhao General Aviation signed for one Bell 407GX, the first 407GX sold in China.
The company sold four Bell 505 Jet Ranger X helicopters, two to Nanjing Ruoer General Aviation and two to Jiangsu Shenghao all will be used for training and low altitude tourism.
“The excitement about our presence at ABACE, the continued recognition of our brand, and these letters of intent are indicative of the growing interest in Bell’s customer-driven, high-performance aircraft in China,” added Jaran.
Bell Helicopter showcased two aircraft, a Bell 505 mock-up and a Bell 429 configured for VIP/corporate transport.
