Eagle Copters Australasia is getting ready to officially open its new maintenance and support facility at Coffs Harbour Airport in New South Wales.

The new hangars will allow the company to expand its offering for its services, from scheduled maintenance to complete refurbishments including paint and complex avionics installations.

Grant Boyter, managing director of ECA said the new facility, which includes two hangars and has increased the capacity to meet operational needs of the lessee or the purchaser, and their relative ongoing maintenance support requirements.

Purpose built for Eagle, the new hangars include an engine and component workshop, stores and a dedicated Engineering Services Department.

With the delivery of a specially designed structural fixture, they will allow the conversions of the new Eagle 407HP aircraft, which recently received certification. There is also room for further expansion in the future that would double our capacity.

Boyter said ECA’s location at Coffs Harbour, midway between Sydney and Brisbane, is also a great benefit as it is well situated to service clients throughout Australia.

“In addition, three airlines fly into Coffs Harbour Airport and, being on the Pacific Highway, we are well serviced by freight companies,” Grant said.

“It’s only been 18 months since we relocated Eagle Copters Australasia to Coffs Harbour and already the company has grown exponentially.”
