Heli-Expo – Aichi Prefecture order firefighting Bell 412EPI
Aichi Prefecture in Japan has ordered a Bell 412EPI. The aircraft will be used for firefighting missions and disaster relief.

We are delighted and honored that Aichi has chosen the Bell 412 again, following 20 years of superior performance with their Bell 412EP workhorse.” said Richard Thornley, managing director – Japan, Bell Helicopter.
The Bell 412EPI also serves as the base design for the UH-X replacement of the Ground Self-Defense Force UH-1J fleet in Japan.
Aichi is the fourth largest prefecture in Japan, with a population of just over seven million. The state capital is Nagoya.
