Helicopter Management Company announces new charter service

Helicopter Services Malta Limited
A new charter service has been launched by Helicopter Services Malta (HSML), the company has also just registered its third aircraft in Malta. HSML was launched earlier in the year to offer a full-service helicopter management solution for both helicopter and superyacht owners.
Private helicopter charters and transfers are available to HSML clients through their recently refurbished helicopter which is now based in Malta. It is expected that Mediterranean based yacht and superyacht passengers will enjoy using the service to explore areas such as Sicily.
Also, the Leonardo AW109E, which will operate in Europe, has been registered by Helicopter Services Malta Limited (HSML) and will be added to their AOC.
Charles Pace, Director General of the Civil Aviation Directorate said: “I am pleased that HSML has continued to invest its trust in Malta as an aircraft registry and we look forward to working with HSML and adding more helicopters to our register in the future.”
The new service expands the complete operational services provided by HSML. Services offered under European Aviation Safety Agency rules include; sourcing, buying, staffing, maintaining, registering and upgrading. To achieve this, HSML combines aviation and technology experts with experienced professionals from the world of customer service. HSML also offers a consultancy service to upgrade helidecks to ensure that compliance with both aviation and marine regulations are met.
The Helicopter Services Malta team is led by CEO Alessandro Rostirolla, whose career in private aviation spans 20 years.
Rostirolla said: “Helicopter operators struggle to find ideal maintenance service providers for their aircraft, especially when close to their yacht. Helicopters are regularly flown hundreds of kilometres from the yacht for maintenance when operators are unable to find a facility which is international enough to provide a premium service close to the aircraft. HSML is a one-stop shop service provider for all aspects of helicopter ownership and operation.”
Rostirolla continued: “For superyacht crew, this means we are one phone call, email or Whatsapp message away from being able to help out and make their lives easier so they can concentrate on making sure their clients and guests have the best time onboard the yacht.”
The company’s founders decided on Malta as a base for two reasons.
“The location is perfect for those with superyachts in the Mediterranean, and Malta also has a sophisticated but transparent financial services sector which, along with its aviation-related fiscal incentives, allows us to source the best solutions for our clients,” explained Rostirolla.
The company also has offices and hanger space in Italy and France. Purchasing, maintaining and refurbishing a helicopter takes care, attention and money. Therefore, HSML’s team of highly trained and well-equipped technicians are based around the Mediterranean for maximum mobility, and each technician has state-of-the-art maintenance technology, connected in real time through the use of tablets and cloud technology.
