ACH reveals first ACH130 Aston Martin Edition sales in US and Brazil #NBAA

Airbus Corporate Helicopters (ACH) has revealed the first sales of its ACH130 Aston Martin Edition to clients in the US and Brazil. The manufacturer confirmed the transactions at this week’s NBAA-BACE in Orlando, Florida.

An unnamed private owner took delivery of the helicopter in the static display area at the NBAA Annual Convention. The aircraft will complement the new owner’s Aston Martin sports car.

The OEM also revealed the sale of the first ACH130 Aston Martin Edition in Latin America, in a deal that “underlines its growing market presence in the region”, it said.

The helicopter is the 17th ACH130 Aston Martin Edition to be sold worldwide. It will be delivered to an unnamed private Brazilian owner in the mid-west of the country.

ACH said it has built a market share of 70% in the private and business aviation market in Brazil. “With its vast land area and urban congestion challenges, Brazil is among the world’s most important helicopter markets,” said a spokesman.

The first production ACH145 Line entered service with a Brazilian customer four years ago. Last August, the world’s first ACH160 was also delivered to a customer in the country. Across Latin America, ACH claims a 35%, market share with 268 helicopters in service.

In May this year ACH committed to producing another 15 examples of the Aston Martin helicopter following the quicker-than-expected sales of the original production run of 15 aircraft.

The ACH130 Aston Martin Edition is a special version of the ACH130 featuring a range of interior and exterior designs created by Aston Martin. ACH aeronautical designers worked with automotive designers at Aston Martin to produce the new aircraft.
