Offshore Helicopter Services seals deal to extend Serica Energy contract
Offshore Helicopter Services UK (OHSUK) has sealed a deal to extend its crew transfer contract with North Sea, mid-tier oil and gas company Serica Energy. The latest five-year agreement, with potential for further extentions, will grow the business partnership to more than eight years.
The operator, which was acquired by Ultimate Aviation Group in April, will supply H175 and S92 helicopters to service Serica’s North Sea operations. A particular focus will be the Bruce platform, which lies 211m (340km) northeast of Aberdeen, Scotland.
AIM-listed Serica has a balance of gas and oil production and is responsible for about 5% of the UK’s natural gas supplies. The energy company operates a number of hubs in the UK’s North Sea, with deliveries made by its subsea infrastructure.
Shaun Roseveere, CEO, Ultimate Aviation Group said the extension represents confidence in OHSUK and its customer service. “Market conditions remain challenging across the sector and our continued partnership with Serica demonstrates our business can have a sustainable future and their confidence in our ability to deliver at all times to the highest level,” said Roseveere.
Mike Killeen, vice president, Operations said the safe and efficient transport of its workforce to and from their place of work is crucial to its business. “We are pleased to be able to extend our partnership with OHS for another five years and look forward to them continuing to provide the same high level of service Serica currently receives.”
