Milestone has agreed lease agreements with UNI-FLY Group for three AW169s.

Milestone Aviation Group has revealed the signing of lease agreements with UNI-FLY Group for three Leonardo AW169 Helicopters at the European Rotors event in Madrid.

The deal includes the extension of two AW169 helicopters and the placement of an additional AW169, which is scheduled to be delivered late this year. The new aircraft will operate from UNI-FLY’s UK main operating base at Humberside Airport, in the English east Midlands, and will support offshore energy missions in the North Sea.

Sebastien Moulin, head of Europe & Americas, Milestone Aviation welcomed the new agreement. “We are seeing strong demand for light twin helicopters in the renewable energy sector,” he said. “The AW169 is well-suited to supporting offshore wind projects thanks to its advanced operating capabilities in challenging environmental conditions.”

Mads Nielsen,  group CEO, UNI-FLY said the company has placed four AW169 4.8t aircraft with Milestone since 2018. This showed the operator’s strong relationship with Milestone and its confidence in the Leonardo’s AW169 helicopter, he added. “The introduction of the Enhanced Power Configuration creates an ideal platform for safe hoist operations and great customer hoist payload,” said Nielsen. “We look forward to welcoming the new addition to our fleet and our continued collaboration with Milestone.”
