Metro Aviation has delivered the first of three EC145s to Sanford Health
Metro Aviation recently delivered
the first of three EC145’s to Sanford Health. Kerry Berg, director of
operations, Thomas Kitterman, director of maintenance and Orlen Tschetter, vice
president of facilities and planning from the Sanford Health-Sioux Falls Region
were present when the aircraft was delivered.
Milton Geltz, managing
director for Metro Aviation said “Due to the concerns of the customer about the
harsh winter environment, the request was made to place the LOX in the aft
cabin cabinet.”
Russell Garner, Metro
Aviation production manager added, “The modification was made easier due to
Metro’s initial design of the cabinet anticipating the future needs of a
customer such as Sanford Health.”
Sanford Health plans to have
this aircraft in service by the beginning of February at the Sioux
Falls, ND location, replacing the Bell helicopters currently
in use for HEMS. The two additional aircraft are scheduled for delivery to the
Sanford Heath in Fargo, ND in the first quarter of 2012.
