ExecuJet Europe launches helicopter charter services in UK

ExecuJet Europe is launching commercial helicopter services after receving a helicopter AOC from the UK CAA.

ExecuJet Europe will start commercial helicopter charter and management services from its FBO at Cambridge Airport, after the UK CAA granted the company a helicopter an Air Operator’s Certificate.

The company’s managed and charter fleet includes two Eurocopter EC155 helicopters based at Cambridge Airport, with an additional two contracts in the final stages of negotiation.

John Brutnell, operations director of ExecuJet Europe, said: “There has been great demand from our existing fixed-wing customers to include helicopter operations in our service offering. Helicopter charter provides a fast, flexible service for business professionals, and is suited for short flights to destinations with no airport.”

“We expect the service to be popular with executives, as it will enable them to make multiple site visits in one day. However, we also expect there to be high demand for leisure purposes, as helicopter charter enables customers to land conveniently at locations such as hotels, restaurants and sports events,” added Brutnell.
