AgustaWestland China’s objective is to further expand the presence of AgustaWestand in China’s civil helicopter market.

Daniele Romiti, CEO of AgustaWestland, said: “We are delighted to establish this Regional Business Headquarters further strengthening our partnership with Sino-US Intercontinental in China. This event marks a new stage in the development of our common commitment to offering the Chinese civil helicopter market the best rotorcraft solutions available today. We are confident we’ll be able to meet the evolving requirements of one of the world’s most promising markets, one showing huge potential for exploitation of vertical lift transport. “

Jianming Zou, chairman of Shanghai Zenisun Investment Group (parent company of Sino-US Intercontinental), said: “By cooperating with AgustaWestland, a leading rotorcraft OEM in the world, we are introducing its cutting-edge technology and advanced operational system into China. This brings a new opportunity to the expansion of the Chinese civil helicopter market. We firmly believe we will be able to satisfy the various demands of Chinese commercial customers and promote the development of the entire general aviation industry in China.”

Sino-US Intercontinental was appointed by AgustaWestland as a distributor for AgustaWestland civil helicopters in China, excluding Hong Kong and Macau in September 2013.

Since then Sino-US International has ordered twenty helicopters comprising AW119Ke, GrandNew, AW169, AW139 and AW189 helicopters.
