Japanese Police orders AW109 Power helicopter

The Japanese National Police Agency (JNPA) has placed an order for a AgustaWestland AW109 Power helicopter to be operated by the Kyoto Police.

The AW109 Power helicopter will replace a Bell 206 Jet Ranger and will be delivered in December 2015.

AgustaWestland now haa 27 AW109 helicopters operating in the law enforcement role with the JNPA. The AW109 series of helicopters operate in 26 out of 47 prefectures.

Over 480 AW109 Powers have been sold to customers in nearly 50 countries.
