Newfoundland Helicopters take delivery of first Canadian operated Bell 407GX

Bell Helicopter has delivered
the first Bell 407GX to be operated in Canada to
Newfoundland Helicopters.
“We have a long and rich history with Newfoundland Helicopters and we’re
excited to share this landmark day with them. The 407GX is assembled at Mirabel, Canada,
so it is particularly gratifying to see it take flight in Canada with Newfoundland,” said Danny Maldonado,
Bell Helicopter’s executive vice president of commercial sales and marketing.

“Bell Helicopter has made significant investments in our R&D and
manufacturing capabilities over the last five years. The 407GX is a prime
example of that investment,” said Maldonado. The delivery to Newfoundland
Helicopters marks Bell Helicopter’s 21st 407GX delivery since the Bell 407GX was introduced
14 months ago at the 2011 Heli Expo annual convention.

“The Bell
407GX becomes our new flagship helicopter. It provides us with unparalleled
flexibility and will expand our already versatile range of service offerings
within the mining, forestry, tourism, hydro and fire-fighting industries,”
said Jim Brown, president and owner of Newfoundland Helicopters. “Bell’s renowned sales and
customer support was a big factor in our decision-making process.”
